Ethan's Birthday - continued... March 26th, 2011

Ethan celebrated his 3rd birthday with his friends at JW Tumbles again this year. Shockingly, it was a Thomas themed birthday, so I made little train cake-bites to go around his cake, dressed him up as a little train conductor and the staff at Tumbles organized the activities perfectly around the theme, complete with a train track obstacle course and ending with Ethan coming on a motorized train to hand out his favors to his friends. It was a great party, as ususal, and the perfect ending to celebrating that my sweet baby boy is now a big 3 year old.

Ethan's 3rd Birthday - Family Party - March 11th, 2011

Ethan is definitely having a great celebration of his 3rd birthday this year. Along with the party at Tumbles coming up on the 26th, we had a small family party the weekend of his actualy birthday. Mima and Papa are finally in Virginia, so they were there, along with Grandma and our good friends, Missy and Billy and their sweet baby Will.

Ethan requested 3 things for his birthday cake - Banana, Blue and "banilla". Mima took his specifications and made a banana cake with "banilla" frosting and, of course a blue Thomas decorated on the cake. He LOVED it!!

Becca got all dressed up for her brother's birthday, so I couldn't help but snap a few shots of my beautiful girl in her party dress.

After seeing the pictures of Ethan riding the broom like a horsey when we were raking leaves, Grandma decided to get him the real thing for his birthday. It even neighs and whinneys if you squeeze its ear. So fun!!

As everyone knows, if it is Thomas, then Ethan loves it. Oma and Grandad got Ethan a great train set for Christmas this year. So, for his birthday, I asked Papa to mount the set on a piece of plywood that we painted green, so that Ethan would have a permanent train set to play with all of his trains on. He had no clue that it was set up in the basement, so after dinner, cake and presents, we all headed down and surprised him with it.

"I'm THREE!!!"
